EMODnet Physics co-organises the 9th Ferrybox Workshop in Spring 2019. The workshop will take place from 24 to 26 April 2019, in the Genoa Aquarium (Genoa, Italy). The goal of this workshop is to collect contributions related to underway measurements from outside of the FerryBox community (e.g. ICOS, SOOP-XBT) in order to enhance knowledge exchange and future cooperation. EMODnet Geology partner Geological Survey of Ireland (GSI) will organise a session on seafloor mapping at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting, the largest geoscience meeting in the world. The meeting will take place in San Francisco, from 9 until 13 December 2019.

The EMODnet Geology team recently released a series of products related to topics including Seafloor geology, Marine minerals, Seabed substrates, Geological Events and Probabilities and Submerged landscape features.
EMODnet’s second Open Sea Lab (OSLII) was officially launched on 24th May in Brussels, at a kick-off event that marked the opening of applications for OSLII, which takes place in the vibrant and historic city of Ghent from 4 - 6 of September, 2019.
